This week I find myself in the beautiful area of Kamloops and Kelowna in British Columbia. The trip was off to a terrific start. I got to fly over the majestic Rocky Mountains. The scenery was amazing and the weather was awesome!
SAIT is participating in the Education and Career Fairs taking place in each of these communities. The Kamloops and Kelowna events have been well attended, with strong interest from prospective students. At each event I was also approached by several alumni. It was nice to hear from each of them. They all had positive things to say about their time at SAIT, and the careers they went on to pursue.
Upon my arrival I changed my Facebook status to “Jason is in Kamloops”. To my surprise I received a message the following day from a high school friend I haven’t seen in years. We were able to get together to catch up on the past several years of our lives. Thanks Facebook!
I also caught up with Recruiters from other institutions. We get close while traveling throughout Alberta in the fall. I haven’t seen many of them in several months. We were able to grab lunch together one day, as well as hit a great sushi place in Kelowna on Thursday.
Next I will be off to Northern BC at the end of the month. Talk to you soon!
