Calgary Folk Festival

This past weekend SAIT participated with a booth at the Calgary Folk Festival.

Saturday’s weather was amazing. The sun shone, the rain stayed away. I was lucky enough to have the company of Lorna and Walter from SAIT’s Student Services office! On Sunday, Jason, Trenton and Michael saw a little rain but it didn’t dampen the mood at the Festival.

We spoke with people who were interested in our Continuing Education programs as well as some that were wondering which full-time programs still had availability for this fall.

Sometimes at these events, even we seasoned recruiters learn something new. There was interest in our Marine Electronics, which I was unaware we offered! Which leads me into some great news. The Student Recruitment Officers will be soon sporting some new equipment. In order to ensure we have the most updated information at our fingertips, we will now have access to Notebooks and internet sticks so we can access SAIT’s website at all times.

All in all, we had a great weekend listening so some great music, eating some fantastic food and meeting some wonderful people.
