Hello Everyone,
I’m back from holidays and excited for the beginning of the summer recruitment season. We have a lot of exciting events planned throughout Calgary. When you see the SAIT logo at a summer event, make sure you stop by to talk to Michelle or myself. Not only do we have great information about SAIT to share, but also some pretty sweet Frisbees (yep, they’re free)!
This Sunday you can find us at the Lilac Festival in Mission. We’ll be on-site from 10:00am-6:00pm. Hopefully with this terrific weather you’ll have time to check out this exciting event.

Skill Testing Questions
Looks like I have been away from this Blog for quite some time now. It has gotten pretty busy over the past few months with some staff changes and the excitement of the Graduation Ceremonies.
The grad ceremonies are a great way for the students to say “hey, look what I accomplished” and “thanks to all the family and friends who supported me!”
The ceremonies are split over 2 days with each department split into a specific ceremony:

Besides the graduation preparations I had the privilege of attending the 2009 Provincial Skills Competition in Edmonton this past week. It was not only a pleasure being able to chat with people who found the trade/technologies fascinating and were interested in possibly attending SAIT but it was also exciting to be able to watch our SAIT students in action.
Even more exciting is that Calgary will be hosting the 40th WorldSkills Competition from September 1-7th, 2009. For more information on the registrants, schedule and so much more please check out the WorldSkills 2009 website.

Take a Spin Around our Campus
Campus Tours are a great way to confirm your big decision to attend a post-secondary! Even if you’re just interested in learning a little more about SAIT Polytechnic, tours can help you find out about admissions, students services and even fitness facilities and the best place to eat on campus. SAIT has a terrific campus, and we’d love to show it to you.
The chance to visit campus is an important part of the post-secondary decision process. If you leave us feeling excited and energized, SAIT may be the right place for you! Let us help you figure it out before, you spend all that time and money.
Whether as a group, or an individual, we would be happy to show you around. (Parents are always welcome!) All we require is at least one week’s notice to book a tour. If you provide us with a couple dates and times that work for you, we will do our best to find a time to meet with you.
