This week I attended Henry Wise Wood and Strathmore High Schools parent teacher information nights. This is a great opportunity to meet parents who play an integral role in influencing students post secondary choices.
Every year SAIT hosts a family orientation night where parents and new SAIT students receive valuable information about support services here at SAIT. Presenters are from Counselling, Program Employment and Advising, SAITSA, Alumni, Bookstore and much more. They offer advise and guidence for new students transitioning from high school to postsecondary.
Next week I will be in Penticton and Winnipeg at two large career fairs. I am excited to meet students from different provinces and teach them about the opportunities at SAIT.
